'Power & Privilege Today’ Photographic Competition
Calling all amateur STUDENT photographers!
The exhibition ‘Power & Privilege’ is a collection of photographs of the Big House in Ireland circa 1858 – 1922 from the National Photographic Archive. These photographs tell us what was considered to be power and privilege long ago.
Nearly 100 years later in 2012, what is your idea of ‘Power & Privilege’? Could you capture it in a photograph? Students are asked to submit a photograph on the theme of ‘Power & Privilege – Today’.
The exhibition runs from late December 2011 until 15 April 2012 at the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life.
Terms and conditions:
· Photograph must be student’s original work
· One image per student can be submitted
· Entries can be submitted by email to photocomp@museum.ie
· Email must include the following:
Student’s Name
Age
School
Class
Teacher’s name
A Title for the photograph
A brief statement of no more than 50 words explaining how the photograph matches the theme of ‘Power & Privilege Today’.
· Images attached must be no larger than 2MB.
· Entries will be accepted until 25th May 2012.
